To stay on track with this weeks "great gifts of memories" to give to families for Christmas, it's now time to talk about the
Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.
We've also have gotten this one as a gift last year and hopefully a renewal this year. It's great! It is a bit of a walk up a giant hill, but since you stop along the way to view the animals, it doesn't feel as bad.
And don't count it out just because it's winter. We live in Pittsburgh and we always have random warm days. Plus the Aquarium is inside! You can spend a good part of the day just there. I know my kids can.
Memberships start at $60, $85 for families, so it's a really good deal. It includes discounts inside the zoo and membership only events. And discounted admission to more than 130 other zoos nationwide. So, say you're vacationing in Hershey, you can get a discount at
Zoo America that's there. Pretty cool.
There's always something new and exciting to see when you visit the zoo. And once again, this is a type of gift that isn't Pittsburgh-only. There's hundreds of zoos out there that a family would love to receive as a gift.
So what's your favorite zoo memory? Or animal you want to see that you never have before?
